The 2009 sandpit volleyball season is underway. Oakland Church of the Nazarene is hosting adult leagues on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the church’s sandpit courts. This year the leagues have been expanded to provide more opportunities for people of all skill levels to play.

Recreation League: The Recreation league is intended for casual or novice players who are interested in fun and fellowship. Teams will be 6-person co-ed. The Recreation league games will be held on Tuesday nights at 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 pm from June 2^nd – July 28^th. A tournament will be held for the top eight teams on Saturday, August 1^st. 

Intermediate League: The Intermediate league is intended for moderately skilled players who are interested in fun and friendly competition. Teams will be 6-person co-ed, with no more than three players from either sex on a team. The Intermediate league games will be held on Thursday nights at 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 pm from June 4^th – July 30^th. A tournament will be held for the top eight teams on Saturday, August 1^st.

Power-4 League: The Power-4 league is intended for experienced players who like to play hard and compete. Teams will be 4-person and may contain any combination of male and female players. The Power-4 league games will be held on Monday nights at 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 pm from June 1^st – July 27^th.

Power-2 League: The Power-2 league is intended for experienced players who like to play hard and compete. Teams will be 2-person and may contain any combination of male and female players. The Power-2 league games will be held on Monday nights at 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 pm from May 4^th – June 29^th.
