Dave King
Lead Pastor
Dave was born and raised in Iowa City. His wife, Tracy, was not only from Cedar Rapids, but found the Lord at Oakland Nazarene. They were humbled and thrilled with the opportunity to come home to Iowa and pastor this great church. Dave feels that God has called him to help Oakland reach its potential and to help other pastors in Iowa do the same.
Dave graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas and Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. He then pastored the Church of the Nazarene in Warrensburg, Missouri for 10 years before being called to Oakland in 2004.
Dave’s hobbies include playing and watching sports, thumping the bass guitar, traveling when possible, and taking on an occasional home remodeling project.
Tracy also graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University. She currently works part-time at Isaac Newton Christian Academy. She ministers to children at Oakland. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, shopping, biking and traveling.
Dave and Tracy have two daughters, Grace and Anna, who love Jesus, their schools, their family and friends. The y each play musical instruments and volleyball.

Youth Pastor
Tom was born in Cedar Rapids and has been a part of Oakland since he was 4. His wife, Jonna was born in Coshocton, Ohio and raised in a strong Christian home where faith was integrated into their daily lives and family business.
Tom graduated from Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. After graduation from college they relocated back to Cedar Rapids where he has work for Teleconnect then Johnson Control. In 1994 Tom got laid off and started his own construction business. During these years Tom also was deeply involved with youth ministry as a volunteer. In 2008 he became part-time youth pastor and went full –time in 2010. Tom hobbies include fishing, boating, hiking, hunting, and almost anything with nature.
Jonna also graduated from Mid-America Nazarene University. She is currently working full-time as a optician at Martin Eye Clinic. She ministers to ladies at Oakland and maintains the church library. Her hobbies include reading, working with horses, and getting our daughter through high school.
Tom and Jonna have a son Zane and a daughter Abbie. Zane is studying for the ministry at Kentucky Mountain Bible College (KMBC). Abbie is a Junior at Vinton Schools and hopes to become a Veterinarian some day. Our family likes to go for quad rides, garden, canoe, hike, boat, and spend time together.

Children's Pastor
John was raised about an hour south of Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a degree in children’s ministry. His passion has been for children as far back as he can remember. His mission in ministry is to bring parents alongside for the spiritual development of their children.
John married his college sweetheart, Carly, in August of 2010. Carly’s degree from Olivet is in dietetics. She loves to study how different food affects our bodies and her passion is helping others take care of the physical bodies God blessed us with.
Carly and John love playing sports, watching sporting events and interacting with children. Carly and John avidly follow the Chicago White Sox, Bulls and Bears.
Senior Adult Pastor
Ron McKee
Senior Adult Pastor
Ron grew up in rural farming communities in Illinois. He served in the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. Ron met his wife, Margaret, while stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska, and began attending the Nazarene Church with her. It was there that Ron was saved and sanctified, but he totally committed his life to Christ during his time in Fort Worth, Texas.
Ron was an active volunteer in his church and had even been asked to fill the pulpit on several occasions when the Lord called him into full time ministry. He completed a home study course and was ordained in 1990. Ron has served as pastor in Lomax, IL, North Pekin, IL, Streator, IL, and Britt, IA. After retirement, Ron and Margaret were anxious to continue serving the Lord and felt lead to the Oakland Church where Ron currently serves as the Senior Adult Pastor.
Ron and Margaret have five grown children and nine grandchildren. Their youngest daughter, Diane, and granddaughter, Cheyenne, live in Anamosa and attend Oakland. Their daughter Lora lives in Kalona, works at the University of Iowa, and is active in her church and community. Their oldest son, Steven, is a Pastor and lives in Indiana. Their two youngest sons, Mike and Dan, live and work in Illinois and are well known and active in their communities. They are very thankful for all their wonderful children and grandchildren.
In his spare time, Ron enjoys reading, sports, traveling, and mentoring young couples in the Lord. Margaret loves teaching and working with children. She has served as church secretary and has been active in women’s ministry and missions. She enjoys crafts, flowers, music, and drama.
